Newark Water & Sewer Department Launches New Customer Portal

NEWARK, NJ –Mayor Baraka and Newark Water & Sewer Utility Director Kareem Adeem has announced a new customer service portal that will allow residents and businesses to pay bills, access their accounts, check their water usage, and contact departments more easily.
“We are a state-of-art water supplier, using the newest technologies to deliver the purest water possible, and now we are applying new technology to further improve our customer service,” Director Adeem said.

With a clean design, easy to follow instructions and easy to find links, the new portal helps customers navigate the Newark Water & Sewer Utility services, including inspections, water testing, or meter reading or replacements.
The main features include up-to-date water and sewer account information, including balances, bill and payment history either in bar graph or list form for the year, and links to view recent bills, pay bills, and update contact information.
This portal offers customers the option to create payment schedules through autopay or recurring payments.
A separate page tracks customer water usage, with a pull-down tab to see yearly, monthly, or daily usage.
Customers can also sign up for notifications when bills are ready or reminders that bill payments are late.
There is a contact page to get customers directly in touch with customer service, the inspections and engineering departments, and report emergencies.
“We are a 24/7 service department,” Director Kareem Adeem said. “This portal gives our customers a quick and efficient way to reach us.”
