Green Infrastructure Program
Project Budget: Over $10 Million
These projects are targeting the NJDEP amendment in the NJ Storm Water Rules (N.J.A.C 7:8), March 2, 2020, to incorporate the Green Infrastructure measures for mitigating the storm water surface runoff, groundwater recharge and storm water runoff quality from the impervious surfaces to the maximum extent possible. The project will supplement the 85% capture of the CSO as required under Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) for approximately 213 acres of non-pervious areas to be handled by Green Infrastructure techniques. The initial phase will encompass approximately 12 locations within the City of Newark with over 100 sites completed in total.
