Project Summary: Initially constructed in the 1980s, the pumping station located on Virginia Street is a connection point for Elizabeth to receive Newark’s water during water supply emergencies. This project will revitalize the pumping station to double its carrying capacity from 30-35 millions of gallons per day (MGD) to 60 MGD.
