Newark Water & Sewer crew are company partners are still on site actively working to repair the 36-inch water main break.
Water service is operating normally for residents in the nearby area, and water quality remains unaffected.
The intersection will remain closed for a few days while crews complete the repairs.

Please be advised that there is a 36-inch water main break at the intersection of South 6th Street and 11th Avenue in Newark’s West Ward.
Residents and businesses in the surrounding area may experience low water pressure, discolored water, or no water during the duration of the repairs.
Residents are also advised of street closures and traffic delays in the area.
Newark Water & Sewer crews are working diligently to repair the water main.
